The setting, even without the ethereal being on the couch is an overwhelmingly beautiful scene. An elaborant tapestry in the back, old yet elegant furniture create a sense of what used to be. The petals and tea set create haunting beauty. Plus the book captures my attention. Is it the secrets kept of this place?
Obviously the woman is the main event. Quite beautiful she is, too. But she seems ethereal, almost too good. Like a ghost, still living in her house of dreams though long, long gone.
This photo is quite complex and compelling, and I have enjoyed viewing and critiqueing this beautiful piece of art.

You could interpret this image in so many ways.
I feel there could be a great sense of loneliness, but she doesn't seem like she's despairing over that.
Or, she's a specter, making her rounds.
Or, she is lonely, but lost in her own mind too much so to care, and therefore, content. In denial that she's queen of an empty house.
I know that there could be a very somber but beautiful story behind this photo if someone had a good enough imagination.
A haunting and wonderful image indeed. Beautiful work.
